Black Coffee Summer Stage! Okayafrica, DJ Spoko & Electrafrique At SummerStage!

15, June Central Park New York City, South African Dj/producer Black Coffee brought the beat of South African House music to an enthusiastic  audience on a sunny afternoon. Every year the Summer Stage organization bring world class musicians, and Dj's to it's stages to  entirely free to the public. Black Coffee club dates in NYC are always sold out. This was a chance for his NYC fans to enjoy his unique skills outdoors.

The concert which started at 5pm,  brought a cross-section of the city's diverse population, especially Africans. As you would guess south Africans came out to represent. Even the South African Consul General George Monyemangene  was there to enjoy the music and support his countryman.  In addition to the superb Dj skills of Black Coffee, Ms. Monique Bingham took to the stage for a surprise performance. Well known Gospel House Singer Kenny Bobien also performed for the crowd. It was another surprise addition to an already excellent evening.

The energy of the crowd started on a high level and did  not diminish by the time the concert ended sometime after 9pm. Black Coffee was made possible  thanks to okayafrica, Jennifer Gray and Dj producer Ed Dunn Jr.
