Back Stage With David Tlale @ MBFW2014

David Tlale's runway show during Mercedes Benz Fashion Week was held in the new Pavilion space at Lincoln Center. What people are most familiar with is the polished runway show that lasts about 15-20 minutes. It's not often that we get to see the preparation that produce what we see on the runway, so we thought sharing is caring.

On the morning of his show, the backstage is in full gear. There is a hell of a lot going on backstage. That's mostly because two hours before the show there is a hell of a lot to be done. So there are models going from make up station to hair station. Some of the models are waiting, and chatting.  photographers are shooting the models and front of house.    The hair stylists and make up artists are all focused on their tasks, you'd think there would be people bumping into each other and clang of things being dropped. There is none of that only quiet intensity and yet at times moments of calm and laughter. This is what it's like to be backstage at the David Tlale show
